Western Agri Seeds Ltd. is a Limited Seeds Company located at Gandhinagar, Gujarat. It is registered under Companies Act 1956 and headed by Managing Director Shri Naranbhai Pragdas Patel. He studied in well known Agriculture University "Gujarat Agriculture University" Junagadh and obtained B.Sc. (Agri.) Degree in 1977. After graduation, he joined Multinational Company as a "Sales Officer". On the virtue of working was up graded as a "Territory Officer” in the Company.

During his service he came in to contact with farmers of Gujarat, Rajasthan & Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. He visit he realized the Weak and Pitiable economical position of the farmers during the visit. He also saw the poor farming in this area.

All this induced him to think that he is a son of farmer, and graduate in the field of Agriculture. B.Sc. Quite often he felt that being a graduate in Agriculture, his knowledge would be useless if he could not deliver the benefit to the farmers of his state and country. He resigned from the service in 1983 and formed N.P.Seeds Corporation at Junagadh, later shifted to Ahmedabad in1993. Further, he formed Western Agri Seeds (P) Ltd Company in 1995 & Shifted to Gandhinagar.

Company is a Research based Agri Scientific Seed Company. The Prime Activities of company is to develop new varieties of various crops & commercialize the Research varieties and hybrids through Seed Production & Marketing. R & D Division of the company is recognized by Department of Science & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, New Delhi, since 2000.

The Research Activities are in, Hybrid Castor, Hybrid Cotton, Groundnut (Peanut), Sesame, Cumin, Wheat, Pearl millet, Paddy, Maize, Moog bean, Mustard, Soya bean, Cowpea, Vegetables like Okra, Cowpea, Cluster bean, Chilli Tomato and other Vegetables.

Company is one of the leading Seed Companies with research base in Gujarat. It is the first AN ISO-9001-2008 Certified Seed Company in the State of Gujarat. It is a India's fastest growing Seed Company with talented team of Scientist i.e., Mr. D. M. Kale (retired scientist), who had 41 years experience in Groundnut Research in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Trombay, Mumbai, Dr. Dinesh Goswami, Ph. D. (Plant Breeding & Genetics), Dr. A.P. Patel (Plant Breeding & Genetics), Mr. Mangalbhai Patel, B.Sc. Agri., retired Scientist (Agronomy) Krushi Vikas Kendra, Randheja. They are constantly engaged in Research & Development work in the company's R & D Farm at Dholakuva, Ta. Mansa, Dist. Gandhinagar (Gujarat). B.P.Patel B.Sc.(Botany), P.D.Patel (B.E. Textile),T.S.Patel, Aakash Patel B.Sc. (Agri) are looking after marketing and administration of the company.

Mr. N.P.Patel is also involved in other Agricultural activities; he headed Gujarat State Seeds Producers Association as President for 8 years. Presently he is GC member of all India level National Seeds Association of India (NSAI) and Board member of Gujarat State Seeds Certification Agency and as a business visitor he has visited European Countries, China, Australia, Israel, Egypt, Thailand, Singapore, Malasiya, New Zeland, South Africa countries to explore the scope for technology transfer, joint venture, and marketing tie-ups for Seed Production business & Research Collaborations.

Our Mission

We constantly innovate and improve our production to provide quality seed to farmers by maintaining excellent genetic purity and germination and also keep ourselves vigilant on purity of the seed. We provide scientific and improved cultivation technology of the crop to the farmers through exhibition and also direct demonstration on the farm to enhance the crop production and thus contribute to White Gold, Yellow and Green revolution in field of Agriculture.
